Banned in France? That was hard to believe, in one of the few cultures where anything goes… but I’m not sure why…it was made that is! Under the pretense that if women want power or sex and take it, it’s bad! Sure the thugs raped and beat the women… a couple of more misunderstandings later and it’s a natural born killers rerun with a little extra sex sprinkled on top!
Someone asked me if I could recommend this film and I’m not sure that I could-- only to my closest film fanatic friends who would see anything, looking for that elusive silver lining. It may be a woman being powerful (reminiscent of Thelma and Louise) but there is too much mayhem for me to recommend it-- the sex is hard-core, the two stars Rafaela Anderson as Manu and Carina Bach as Nadine are porn actresses. I can say that not only do they go a bit above and beyond the call of duty-- but they would make very bad role models !
