The Cosmic Eye

This animation by Faith Hubley was released in 1985 seems to be a collage of scraps of short pieces centered around one central theme. The central piece is an interesting dialogue between Mother Earth (the voice of Maureen Stapleton) and Father Time (the voice of Dizzy Gillespie) talking about how can they stop the humans from destroying themselves and the planet. The animation is mostly simplistic and naïve in many ways, a side from the masterful pieces that include her kids (and their cute voices) playing all kinds of make believe games, which I consider the trademark look of Hubley Studios. But the rest of the film is a pastiche of every cosmology from every race than ever lived on earth (or so it seems) and made up the longest 72 minutes of animation I have ever seen.
