Everybody looks pretty white bread... but wait that guy has green hair, no I mean really green and pointy like Lady Liberty's crown. The year is 1985 and that guy with green hair, he's a punk... Do you remember laughter?
This film is a docu-drama or mock-you-drama! Steve O. and his green hair is our narrator and tour guide. His main beef is how hard it is to change the system via anarchy and that he considers any non "Charter members" to the punk movement as poseur's. He's very witty and personable and shows us the uphill struggle of growing up with your own original ideas of how to do things that no one else can understand (ever happen to you?).. There is a very funny dialogue with him and his parents having a heart to heart about going to college...where his father tells him to tone down his act so he could go to Harvard like he did, it degenerates from there quite pointedly!
The soundtrack is a punk treasure trove: Stooges, Sex Pistols, Gen X and much more...
